Requirements

  • - Scientific and technical degree, preferably with a doctorate in physics or a comparable discipline (e.g. physical technology, optics)
  • - Practical experience in the design, construction and operation of particle beam systems
  • - Knowledge of electron microscopy (SEM/TEM) and electron optics, the field of (ultra) high vacuum and high voltage technology desirable
  • - Systematic, analytical and goal-oriented way of working.
  • - Flexibility and readiness for interdisciplinary work
  • - Enjoy working in a high-performing team in close coordination with the various specialist departments at the site and in the group

Responsibilities

  • Development of novel particle beam systems fulfilling high-end technical requirements for inspection and metrology in the semiconductor industry.
  • Define system requirements and specifications. Troubleshoot system problems.
  • Plan and conduct test of new technologies on prototypes in the laboratory.
  • Collects, analyzes data and designs statistically valid experiments.
  • Guide less experienced physicists/scientists.
  • Evaluate new technologies, pursue innovative solutions.
  • Close cooperation with multidisciplinary international R&D team.
