What are the main responsibilities of the Physiotherapist in this role?
The Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing assessment, consultation, and education to patients, family members, and the interprofessional team within various in-patient units. They will participate in team meetings, liaise with unit-level teams and community providers, advocate for clients and families, and take part in inter-professional patient and family conferences as needed.
What populations will the Physiotherapist primarily work with?
The primary area of assignment will be working with complex care, mental health, and rehabilitation populations.
What is the weekend work schedule for this position?
The weekend physiotherapist is scheduled for one Saturday and Sunday shift out of every four weekends. If there is a statutory holiday, it will be included as part of the long weekend.
What educational qualifications are required for this position?
A Master of Science (M.Sc) in Physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
What experience is preferred for applicants?
Preferred experience includes registration and license to practice with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in good standing, recent experience in acute care hospital-based medicine and geriatric care, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
