Responsibilities

  • - Carry a varied caseload and gain experience across a variety of rotations within acute services, including ICU/surgery, respiratory medicine, amputee rehabilitation, orthopaedics, medicine, stroke and musculoskeletal outpatients (across 2 sites including hydrotherapy, gym rehab classes and Women's Health).
  • - Work weekends, Bank Holidays and some extended hours as part of our 7-day service.
  • - Be flexible, autonomous practitioners who are able to manage a caseload.
  • - Use evidence based/patient centred principles to assess, plan and deliver care to their patients.
  • - Concentrate on the assessment of patients referred to the service.
  • - Work as an autonomous practitioner with the support of a senior therapist.
  • - Be part of the planning and implementation of therapy intervention in partnership with patients under their care.
  • - Ensure a rounded learning opportunity through rotational posts.
