  • The Public Transport Team is looking for an enthusiastic individual to support the Public Transport Team Manager in the day-to-day running of the team, deputise for the Team Manager when required, and provide supervisory support to allocated staff. Previous experience of working in an operational role is essential, as well as knowledge and understanding of public transport operations.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the Public Transport Operations function of the Public Transport Team ensuring a high-class service is delivered across these, and other, aspects of the teams work area. Key aspects of the role include analysing and responding to planned an unplanned events which occur on the roads and ensuring that measures are in place to minimise the impact on the public transport users. This requires collaborative working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Under the direction of the Public Transport Team Manager, you will also be required to support the development and delivery of bus strategies and initiatives, such as:
  • Enhanced Partnership Advisory Panel and Board
  • MetroBus Performance Review Group
  • Bus Services Improvement Plan Programme Board
