Requirements

  • Proven experience in growth marketing, retention marketing, or CRM within the digital subscription, direct-to-consumer or media industry
  • Expertise in developing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, mobile app, social, etc.); proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and marketing automation tools. Experience with Iterable is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of customer lifecycle marketing, segmentation strategies, and personalized marketing tactics
  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle Strategy : Develop and execute comprehensive lifecycle strategies (including, but not limited to: new subscriber onboarding, retention & engagement, loyalty/referral, renewal, and winback/resubscription) to increase subscriber retention, drive long-term customer lifetime value, and acquire new and former subscribers. Craft impactful and insightful creative, test, and product briefs to guide efficient development of necessary assets, test setup, and product marketing requirements. Serve as the Growth Marketing Team’s email channel expert with added focus on owned, in-product messaging capabilities (on-site and in-app).
  • Experimentation & Optimization : Continually test and iterate on marketing strategies, messaging, and channels to identify optimal approaches for our audience. Separate signal from noise by employing A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other experimentation techniques to refine campaign performance and ultimately improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Customer-Centricity : Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners across Product, Analytics & Research, Brand Marketing, Programming, Newsroom, Customer Care, and third-party partners/vendors to align on strategies, prioritize initiatives, and deliver seamless, customer-centric experiences that resonate with our audience and drive meaningful growth across key performance indicators.
  • Audience Segmentation, Targeting, and Personalization : Utilize audience segmentation and data analysis to identify opportunities for targeted messaging, churn prevention, winback, and other personalized experiences across the customer lifecycle.
  • Project Prioritization & Impact Assessment : Leverage a data-driven approach to identify, size, and prioritize projects based on their potential impact on key outcomes such as subscriber retention, lifetime value, and engagement metrics, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to drive sustainable growth.
