What qualifications are required for the Product Technician role?
The successful candidate will have one of three pathways: a technical/scientific degree (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing), a relevant BEng or HNC/HND qualification with proven practical experience, or significant proven manufacturing production history in a technical product environment.
Is prior experience required for this position?
This role would suit someone with 0-3 years of experience in a relevant field, combining technical skills with manufacturing and material characterization experience.
What manufacturing techniques will I be working with?
You will be using various manufacturing techniques, including injection moulding, CNC milling, and laser cutting, to produce samples and prototypes.
Will I receive training on the equipment?
Yes, training on the equipment will be provided to ensure you are proficient in using the machinery.
What are the main responsibilities of the Product Technician?
Main responsibilities include manufacturing prototypes, conducting mechanical testing, ensuring health and safety in the workshop, fostering collaboration and innovation, maintaining high quality and safety standards, and organizing multiple projects.
