Responsibilities

  • Provides general oversight and coordination in reviewing contractors’ compliance with construction and design plans and specifications.
  • Assists in developing and implementing policy and procedures related to team.
  • Leads and manages one plan review team.
  • Provides technical guidance and training to team.
  • Reviews and monitors work activities to maintain plan review goal.
  • Prepares the weekly group performance report.
  • Helps team members to work with customers and citizens on various plans and documents submitted for review or questions.
  • Understands well about Storm and drainage Design requirements including ordinance, City of Houston infrastructure manual (IDM), and other codes.
  • Conducts any meeting that is requested by Customer and Citizens.
  • Investigates and responds to any inquiries from other City of Houston departments, technical personnel, regulatory agencies, consultants, contractors, and the general public.
  • Assists Supervising Engineer and Managing Engineer for any job activities.
  • Assists other technical work relative to drainage and storm infrastructure as assigned.
