Requirements

  • Have a high school Diploma preferably with a technical field such as Chemistry, Biology etc.
  • Have 2+ year experience in administrative roles preferably in a Quality/Food Safety role.
  • Computer knowledge in IFS, Formpak and Office products
  • Can retain information
  • Are Proficient, organised and have good communication skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality function by arranging and releasing the approved raw material and finished product samples for use and sale in IFS.
  • Maintain the supplier and customer complaints, assisting with the purchase of Laboratory consumables, reagents and organising the despatch of samples requiring 3rd party analysis.
  • Collaborate with the QC manager, internal department with regards to tracking and updating samples requiring positive release, entering test results into IFS and ensure relevant quality paperwork is attached to each batch.
  • Arrange products to be tested and set up of product evaluations.
  • Provide customer with new and up-to-date specifications.
  • Partner with the QC team and arrange the purchase of Lab consumables and reagents for the QC Lab.
  • Despatch of samples to 3rd party Laboratories for testing.
  • Log, co-ordinate and monitor supplier complaints.
  • Monitor customer complaints to ensure they are closed promptly.
  • The swab of equipment and utensils with allergen swabs (Allersnap) after the manufacture of an allergen containing batch as part of the positive release protocol.
  • Provide other assistance on chemical, physical testing or sensory evaluation of products or incoming ingredients, as requested by Quality Control Manager.
