Responsibilities

  • Create Quality Control Instructions (QCIs) for containment, purges, and stop ships
  • Complete First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Lead and own actions to ensure successful outcomes of Quality Events, such as supplier escapes, customer corrective action requests
  • Lead and drive quality investigations, including effective RCCA and 7-Steps
  • Determines who the most appropriate Engineering personnel is to coordinate investigations, allocates & follows up on responsibility accordingly
  • Ensure execution of quality systems within and across all teams (i.e., define quality systems, audit execution, ensure accuracy of instructions, train team members, as needed)
  • Create and sign-off on Material Review Board for quality
  • Verify change request controls and ensure implementation
  • Lead the customer returns investigation process including incoming review, progress tracking, customer feedback
  • Support customer requests
  • Host customer visits and quality audits
  • Support source inspection activities by ensuring product is prepared
  • Review and approve new planning, changed planning
  • Define quality systems to meet customer and regulatory expectations
