Responsibilities

  • Perform wide variety of Inspection and Quality control operations of a Visual, dimensional, and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or competing appropriate documentation as Required.
  • Perform inspections on PCE -BOP's & BOP components.
  • Perform source inspections at facilities.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
  • Review inspection records received for compliance.
  • Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) for nonconforming parts.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Day to day inspection and reporting activities of PCE -SBOP, Annular BOP and Ram type BOP's.
  • Work in accordance with Standard NOV QMS and HSE procedures & policies.
  • Supporting workshop supervisor in monitoring, identification, and traceability process.
  • Assisting shop supervisor in day-to-day QC activities.
  • Preparation of Quality plan/ITP as per client request.
  • Perform dimensional inspection as per NOV Router /job card, Drawings and Specs review and approval of final inspection documents.
  • In process and Final inspection of BOP's & BOP components at supplier premises.
  • Review and approval of supplier inspection reports.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the instrument/equipment calibration up to date.
  • Register NCR, CAR/PAR entry into the NOV portal (PIMS/Intelex).
  • Involvement in internal and External audits.
  • In house NDE inspection PT and MPI testing -To perform and prepare the reports.
  • Preparation of final Data book.
  • Need to perform duty as and when required by Shop superiors and job priority.
  • To perform dimensional, Hardness, MT & PT inspection in front of Client or TPI agencies.
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting the Engineering drawings.
  • Basic knowledge in all measuring instruments & Gauges.
  • Welding knowledge is added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Basic material standards such as API 6A, API 16A, API 16 AR, ASTM, AISI, NACE Standards.
