What are the main responsibilities of the R&D Chemist position?
The main responsibilities include the development of new products/formulations, reformulation of existing products, management of projects through the stage-gate process, support to QA and Consumer Services Departments, advising on production batch corrections and complaint investigations, management of formulations/recipes in IT systems, benchmarking testing of woodcare products, evaluation of raw materials, and upholding ISO and safety standards.
What qualifications are required for the R&D Chemist position?
A Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related discipline is required, along with 3 years of experience in a chemical laboratory. A Master’s Degree and experience in industrial chemistry and decorative or woodcare coatings are preferred, along with Six Sigma knowledge and previous laboratory experience.
