What are the working hours for the Receptionist position in the Emergency Department?
The Receptionist will work a flexible full rotation 24-hour rota including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
Is there training provided for this position?
Yes, the successful candidate will embark on a full training plan and will be mentored throughout.
What tasks will I be responsible for as a Receptionist?
Responsibilities include providing a positive reception service, directing patients to the eTriage system, registering patients, booking GP appointments when necessary, scanning and filing documents, checking referral documentation, prioritizing workload, and answering telephone enquiries.
Will I have to work with any specific systems or software?
Yes, you will work alongside the eTriage system to assist patients in booking into the department.
Is there an opportunity to liaise with other departments or staff?
Yes, you will liaise with Emergency Department nursing and medical staff as well as other hospital staff as appropriate.
