Responsibilities

  • Act as first line of escalation with partner Cargo, Schedules, berthing optimization (often all at once) across services within and across regions'
  • First level of operational escalation in region for shut outs, port emissions, cargo issues. Has a regional overview of cases and coordinates/ negotiates resolutions both internally and externally
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Joint Working Procedures (JWPs) to protect Maersk’s interests - Ensure correct interpretation and application of JWPs through consultations with Ocean Fulfillment (OF) and Coastal Fulfillment (CF) teams.
  • Take regional ownership of contingency handbooks and seasonal contingency negotiations with the Partner
  • Handle exceptions and manage relationships with partners from both a regional and global perspective - Work closely with the Global Execution Center (GEC) and other Regional Coordination Centers (RCCs) to ensure consistent management practices.
  • Support Regional/ HQ Finance on execution of Schedule reliability and short shipment penalty scheme between Maersk and HPL, as well as any schedule deviation verifications as required
  • The RCC shall act as the first point of entry for disputes in reg. to allocation, scheduling of Vessels, Network Execution, contingencies, Non-Compliance with the Agreement and Crisis Management etc. and shall escalate to the ‘HQ Network Committee’, if required.
