Responsibilities

  • Contributing towards defining banking partners in Australia in line with business needs and discussing strategic elements of relationships and performance with banks - Client funds only.
  • Identifying and negotiating the appropriate Client funds banking solutions based on client needs.
  • Contributing towards outlining the strategy for managing foreign exchange risk and negotiating price for Client funds and implementing the strategy.
  • Initiating Australian trade/ transactions instruction.
  • Executing on surplus and deficit in cash positions in order to determine cash movements, investments and borrowings in Australia.
  • Investing excess Australian cash in short and long term facilities.
  • Managing the process of ensuring bank accounts are sufficiently funded in order carry out financial obligations due in the short-term.
  • Managing the exposure quantification process - valuations of all financial products including derivatives, debt & investment.
  • Working with the business to identify regional risks within the organisation. e.g. foreign exchange exposures.
  • Managing a team of Analyst that will cover Australian Middle Office processes such as: Bank account management; Compliance, controls and KPIs; and Treasury accounting.
  • Managing a team of Analyst that will cover Australian Back Office processes such as: payments and bank reconciliations.
  • Lead, develop and motivate a regional team of Treasury Analysts.
  • As a subject matter expert lead and contribute to a range of strategic Group wide projects including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other business transactions.
