Responsibilities

  • This role will ensure that the GFSS Record to Report team in Pune delivers on the following key responsibilities:
  • Month-end and quarter-end close process and other requirements set forth by the segment accounting teams while delivering on service level commitments for timeliness and quality
  • Provide well documented and approved journal entries in accordance with the month end close check list
  • Preparation of timely and accurate account reconciliation in accordance with TU’s policy
  • Preparation of audit support for the US GAAP and Statutory audits
  • Preparation of supporting documentation for tax filings
  • Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to monitor and communicate process performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), and dashboards using BI / Tableau Platform
  • Collaborate closely with the global process leader for record to report and the segment controllers and their teams to ensure clear understanding of expectations of the GFSS team and the GFSS team’s execution of their work
  • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, develop strategies to mitigate risks, and provide recommendations for optimizing financial outcomes.
  • Support team members with issues and escalations
  • Responsible to explain process instructions to others
  • Ensure proper training to other team members including creation of backup plan to ensure deliverables
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place and are being executed
  • Implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify any anomaly, deviation or exception and resolve
  • Maintain daily reports on operational performance for team and provide to Record to Report Manager
  • Reviews work of team members for quality and process standards
  • Assists others in resolving the issues/queries
  • Supplies performance input on team members to Record to Report Manager
  • Supports other projects and ad hoc assignments as required by Record to Report Managers and/or GFSS Site Leader
  • Accuracy of processed data and analysis
  • Establish SLAs and other performance management measurements for center functions and meet the same
  • Ensure consistent good Customer feedback and VOC scores
