What are the general job duties for the RN - LDRP position?
The general job duties include the care of laboring patients, performing nursing duties during vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and providing care for couplets.
What type of equipment will I be using in this role?
You will utilize EPIC Stork documentation, the Centricity fetal monitoring system, and the Pyxis medication system in this role.
What is the minimum experience required for this position?
A minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience is required, along with the ability to circulate c-sections.
What licenses and certifications are required for this position?
Required certifications include NRP, BLS and ACLS through AHA, and STABLE. A compact or Indiana state RN license is also required.
What are the shift requirements for this position?
The position requires 12-hour shifts, working 3 out of 4 weekends, with no call requirement. You will work with a shift nurse lead and at least 6 L&D RNs.
Will I need to float to other departments?
Yes, the traveler will float between PRMC and Parkview Randallia based on need.
How many LDR rooms are available at each facility?
PRMC has 16 LDR rooms, while Randallia has 10 LDR rooms.
What is the nurse to patient ratio in this unit?
The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:1, which may change to 1:2 during early labor or induction of labor, and 1:3 for couplet care.
What is the dress code for this position?
The dress code consists of hospital-provided scrubs.
