What qualifications are required for this role?
Applicants should be qualified physiotherapists, ideally at Band 5 or Band 6 level.
How long does each rotation last?
Each rotation lasts for nine months.
What areas of clinical practice will I gain experience in?
You will gain experience in Critical Care and Surgery, Rapid Response Therapy Service and Frailty Intervention Team, Stroke and Neurological rehabilitation, Medicine Therapy Service, iCares Community services, Trauma and Orthopaedics, and Inpatient rehabilitation.
Is there a requirement to deliver services on weekends?
Yes, successful candidates will be part of delivering 7-day services, including the out-of-hours respiratory on-call service.
Can I request rotations in specific areas of interest?
Yes, within the rotational scheme, there is an opportunity to request rotations of particular interest.
What support will I receive during the role?
You will receive a comprehensive induction and will be part of a friendly team that offers a supportive learning environment.
When will the new acute hospital open?
The Midland Metropolitan University Hospital is scheduled to open in 2024.
