Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement - You will be responsible for the overall coordination of the Information and Cyber Security Team. The role involves collaborating with Information Security stakeholders to provide a comprehensive overview of security activities, managing workloads, and addressing demands on Information and Cyber Security. Responsibilities include supporting team activities, identifying service improvements and facilitating meetings.
  • Information and Cyber Security is evolving to dynamic business needs, a rapidly changing threat environment, and the firm's own developing IT Strategy. This role will help play a key part in implementing and improving the underlying processes and help to provide a structured, systematic approach to Information Security across the firm.
  • This role will contribute the firms Information and Cyber Security strategic mission to support the CC@40 objectives and make the firm a secure place for our people and data.
  • Security Culture: Adhere and improve upon the Values, Mission, Principles of the firms Information and Cyber Security function.
  • Your key tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Work alongside Information Security stakeholders to provide a clear picture of security activities.
  • Work with others in the Information Security team to help identify current workloads and projects.
  • Work with individuals, contributors, and teams to understand the demands placed upon Information and Cyber security, report on utilisation, and identify any potential issues or concerns.
  • Support team activities such as advising, communication and coordination of resources.
  • Assist in identifying service improvements in processes currently utilised by the Information Security team and suggest methods in which these could be altered to provide more benefit.
  • Assist with the organisation and demand of the Information and Cyber Security team, helping to facilitate large meetings and track essential updates.
  • Assist with security awareness initiatives.
  • Lead with KPI/KRI collation and analysis to inform Security leadership.
  • Stay current and knowledgeable with trends in information and cyber security.
  • Work with the Security team members to create and agree an improved structure and roadmap for conducting information security activities, including:
  • Reviewing and advising internal projects and initiatives
  • Reviewing external service providers and data custodians
  • Agreement of ownership, associated tracking, follow-ups, and management reporting
  • Assist in the creation of the firm's security strategy and programme by inputting where needed, e.g., helping to carry out threat monitoring, research, and elements of policy change and programme delivery.
  • Support the security functions finance and procurement activities both operationally and project based.
  • Aid with certain time-critical elements of Information Security team responsibilities, such as incident management and security investigations.
  • Take part in the implementation and testing of new applications and projects to aid the work of the information security function.
  • Proactively work alongside other teams to promote security.
