What is the role of a Senior Automation Engineer at Wayfair?

What qualifications do I need to apply for this position?
Candidates should have proven experience in Industrial, Automation, or Process Engineering, ideally education in an engineering discipline (industrial, mechanical, robotic, automation), and knowledge of material handling equipment is preferred.
Is knowledge of logistics or supply chain operations required for the role?
While knowledge of logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain operations is beneficial, it is not essential and can be learned on the job.
What languages do I need to know for this job?

Responsibilities include supporting material flow and area planning, conducting analyses for warehousing technology selection, assisting procurement of supply chain solutions, implementing material handling systems, and contributing to process development initiatives.
Will I need to conduct studies for the development of engineered labor standards?
Yes, the role requires conducting Motion and Time (MTM) Studies for the development of future engineered labor standards.
