Responsibilities

  • Develop course enhancements, curricular resources, instructional materials, etc. according to teacher and/or student specifications
  • Directly manage a small but mighty cross-functional development team including an editorial quality assurance analyst, a content architecture and integration analyst, and various external contingent workers based on SME focus, centered around a culture of accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, and inclusion.
  • Lead subject matter experts and/or strategic partners to develop course enhancements in alignment to standards, including state-specific academic standards, WCAG 2.2AA accessibility standards, PVS authoring and style guides, and Pearson’s Global Content Policy
  • Update and maintain course documentation including course maps, learning objective frameworks, course metadata, and alignments
  • Demonstrate depth and/ or breadth of expertise in own specialized field and provides expertise to various stakeholders
  • Proposes and effectively and responsibly implements new ways of developing content, including the use of generative AI
  • Has a measurable long-term impact on course performance and how it influences learner outcomes
  • Partners closely with the team's Solutions Manager to lead the development team and ensure the end-to-end production of high-quality curriculum and resources according to teacher and student requirements
  • Stay current on most recent online education and curriculum development subject area strategies, trends, and initiatives
