Responsibilities

  • Summary: The Cross Cloud & Data Engineering (CCDE) Unit within the Global Cloud Infrastructure & Delivery (GCID) organization is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to optimize SAP’s cloud infrastructure.
  • A successful candidate will adopt, design, and develop innovative and efficient artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and data-driven algorithms with a focus on delivering results.
  • This role also encompasses extracting concepts and actionable insights from the cloud infrastructure and cost data, providing cutting-edge AI/GenAI solutions that ensure quality for our business purposes and ongoing projects, while considering delivery timelines.
  • Your work will closely align with the production and core AI development team to provide strong and dependable solutions for SAP’s cloud infrastructure and cost efficiency.
  • This team is responsible for AI-based initiatives and developing AI solutions for our cloud infrastructure management, especially in the area of cost optimization.
  • The main focus is to expand our toolset functionalities using AI capabilities.
  • This role is for a senior data scientist who will undertake innovations towards crafting novel AI/GenAI solutions for individual problems and at scale for complex interrelated problems, and execute their implementations in cooperation with the engineering team.
  • Successful candidates are creative, highly skilled, and motivated persons who work well in a team setting and take a practical approach from conception to deployment while ensuring the quality of results.
