Responsibilities

  • Direct, train, and supervise a team of employees responsible for various employment and employee relations functions.
  • Advise supervisors and employees on various employment and employee relations issues including re-organizations, career counseling, corrective action, and terminations procedures. Oversee the performance appraisal process.
  • Recruit and oversee the delivery of Club employment activities. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and with Club procedures Work closely with the HR team and supervisors to support their recruitment activities including advertising, interviewing, assisting with requisitions and screening tools, recommending recruitment sources, providing technical support for our applicant tracking software, and extending employment offers, as needed.
  • Work with the SVP – HR and Planning on compensation program administration, compensation objectives, and ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws. Compensation duties include conducting job evaluations and assigning pay grades, creating job descriptions, maintaining and analyzing our salary structure, completing salary surveys, and providing guidance and support to supervisors with regard to hiring, transfers, promotions, and changes in pay.
  • Oversee Human Resource Information System administration by serving as the functional lead and participating in the planning, implementation, and continued maintenance of the system; manage data integrity and requests that involve employee data.
  • Develop, interpret, and communicate personnel policies and procedures. Review policies and practices for compliance with laws and regulations, recommend changes, and new policy implementation as appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and advance culture of inclusion strategies aligned to business goals and objectives, with focus in areas of recruitment, talent management, leadership development and educating employees.
  • Identify, build, and sustain community partnerships to support planning and business strategies.
  • Maintain, monitor, and oversee Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Sexual Harassment policies. Serve as a key representative in responding to, and investigating complaints related to EEO or sexual harassment issues. Communicate compliance requirements to the Club.
  • Participate and assist in labor agreement negotiations. Assist in handling union grievances and union issues.
  • Complete and submit required reports for EEO, VETS100, and MLB Diversity Report. Analyze information to develop and present recommendations for improvement of employment policies, processes, and practices.
  • Assess Club learning and development needs and design learning and development plans to enhance employee performance and successfully execute Club goals and objectives. Facilitate employee training sessions.
