Responsibilities

  • Consult with facility leadership on ways to improve organizational effectiveness and culture
  • Confront complex issues or concerns, which require careful analysis and diagnosis. Situations arise that are often unique and require critical problem-solving skills to develop original solutions.
  • Provide counsel to management in the areas of UAW contract administration and negotiation.
  • Handle employee issues, grievance procedures, arbitration, job placement, production position workforce planning, and other matters related to the union represented production workforce.
  • Provide guidance / counsel associated with internal investigations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, governmental regulations, and the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Track metrics and measures for the Labor Relations function, provide analysis to Sr. Leadership.
  • Provide and/or develop appropriate learning for the Operations leaders to promote competency, efficiency and quality work.
  • Assist with design, implementation and administration of employee relations / human resource programs and policies.
  • Set priorities and establish work plans in order to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results.
  • Communication of Labor Relations related policies/procedures.
