Responsibilities

  • The US healthcare market with respect to OptumRx pharmacy benefit design and operations
  • Support of financial modeling and strategic business analytics for rebate and contract optimization and net cost strategy assessment of pharmaceutical products
  • Drug product strategy development in collaboration with internal colleagues. Compare and value differing strategies based on generated data
  • Ensure efficient information sharing between teams to support effective decision making
  • Knowledge of multiple therapeutic categories for manufacturer assignments (e.g. CV, Diabetes, Respiratory disease)
  • An understanding and knowledge of established clinical guidelines determined by OptumRx P&T
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers
  • Drive ideas forward and obtain cross functional buy - in based on the analysis of effectiveness of drugs, drug cost, and drug market share
  • Be prepared to be challenged. This is a fast-paced, intense and performance focused environment where you'll need to juggle competing priorities, present complex information and work with senior level leadership
