Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new equipment, utilities, and process pipework systems and analyze the operation of existing systems.
  • Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to design standards.
  • Conduct and review the work of the project design teams, check the progress of the work, and alert Project Managers of scope changes or additional services.
  • Review contractor applications for payments and maintain an understanding of the construction process associated with equipment, utilities, and process pipework systems.
  • Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within IPS, externally with clients, and with other relevant design professionals.
  • Prepare or review construction budgets based on the project scope.
  • Develops and promotes the use of IPS design and production standards.
