  • Create and manage a database of assets related to railroads and Quiet Zones.
  • Manage inspection schedules for the maintenance of Quiet Zones.
  • Prepare and issue work orders for signage and pavement marking maintenance for Quiet Zones.
  • Manage contracts related to maintenance of Quiet Zones, as available.
  • Coordinate with FRA officials on regular inspections of Quiet Zones and respond to official requests from FRA for information related to Quiet Zones.
  • Coordinate with railroads on railroad projects that may impact local roadway infrastructure.
  • Respond to complaints, inquiries, and questions for citizens, City officials, and other requestors related to railroad issues.
