Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to the following:
  • Maintain a collective focus and support the Head of Business Lines Underwriting and LOB’s with the achievement of financial objectives & business plans
  • Support Lines of Business in developing and updating LOB strategies annually
  • Work closely with Line of Business Heads to review products, propositions and product training to ensure this is meeting customer & MFU needs
  • Comply with Zurich Risk Policy, Global Underwriting Policies as well as local regulatory and industry requirements
  • Provide active and hands-on support of Large Case renewals
  • Actively support in monitoring the portfolio’s risk quality mix, with recommended targeted actions to address or displace poorer performing risks or elements of the portfolio’s or conversely recommend actions to increase and drive growth within profitable area’s
  • Periodically provide technical training and underwriting updates to the MFU community
  • Be flexible to participate in ad hoc projects
  • Support with managing key internal & external stakeholder relationships with (Brokers, Customers, Regional Sales Leads, Senior management, Claims)
  • Working under limited direction and executes The Zurich Way of Underwriting
