What is the primary responsibility of the Specialist Physiotherapist in this role?
The primary responsibility includes assessing and treating patients across various clinical areas, working collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teams, and managing an inpatient caseload while supporting junior staff.
What kind of patients will I be working with?
You will be working with patients who have a range of complex, long-term medical conditions, particularly in oncology, haematology, infectious diseases, renal, and palliative care.
Is experience necessary for this position?
The role is suitable for an existing band 6 physiotherapist looking to consolidate their skills or an experienced band 5 physiotherapist with relevant inpatient experience considering a career in inpatient services.
Will I have the opportunity to supervise other staff?
Yes, you will supervise band 5 therapists, support workers, and students, providing training and support in their development.
What are the working hours for this position?
The role requires flexible working, including late shifts, weekend work, and participation in the out of hours respiratory rota.
