What is the primary responsibility of the Staff Engineer, Industrial Engineering position?
The primary responsibility is to oversee supply planning of HDD, create and optimize factory build plans, and ensure that Western Digital can reliably deliver products on time while meeting corporate revenue and profit goals.
What qualifications are required for this position?
A Bachelor's degree in IT, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other related courses is required, along with 3-5 years of experience in related fields. Experience in I2 or Integrated Planning is highly desired, and an MS degree in a related discipline is an advantage.
What skills are necessary for this role?
Necessary skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, advanced MS Excel proficiency, good English communication skills (both speaking and writing), interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and excellent active listening skills.
Who will I collaborate with in this role?
You will coordinate with various stakeholders, including Demand Planning (CDO team), Asia Planning, Materials planning, Data Governance, IE (Capacity Planning), Product Operations Management, Sales Ops, and CP project teams.
