Is this position suitable for newly qualified nurses?
Yes, this position is suitable for both newly qualified and experienced band 5 nurses.
What kind of training and development can I expect in this role?
You will receive a comprehensive development program, including Trust Induction, an Introduction to Cardiology course, and a period of supernumerary time working with a mentor to achieve required competencies.
Is there on-call work involved, and is it compensated?
Yes, there is on-call work involved, which provides extra earning potential, along with private work paid at a competitive hourly rate and waiting list initiatives.
What types of procedures will I assist with in the Cath Lab?
You will assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiograms, PCI, pacing, EP studies, and complex electrophysiology services.
Are there any specific attire requirements for this role?
Yes, you will be required to wear lead personal protective equipment (PPE) during procedures.
Can I apply for this position if I hold an overseas nursing qualification?
We are not currently hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses who require sponsorship.
