Responsibilities

  • Evaluation of the technical requirements of new and existing products.
  • Apply knowledge of qualified sources and products to recommend materials to the design department that would result in savings, shorter lead times, system improvements, longer lifespan, and/or risk mitigation.
  • Working with product development teams and suppliers to ensure that professional and manufacturable design is taken into account when developing new products (NPI / DfX).
  • Implementation of supplier visits, product audits and acceptances at home and abroad.
  • Continuous participation in supplier selection processes to develop a supplier base that offers competitive advantages in terms of quality, cost, delivery reliability and technology.
  • Conducting system audits of suppliers to assess capabilities and performance, as well as initiating and tracking continuous improvements.
