Responsibilities

  • Create training sessions, presentations, and materials, LCA resource folders, etc., that provide guidance to departments on acquiring accommodations, hosting accessible events, content translation, and more; these will be in multiple platforms from PowerPoint, training videos, canvas, and more.
  • Responsible for transforming current training materials into videos for city employees to do self-paced learning.
  • Host training sessions for departments to ensure compliance with LCA policy and ordinance.
  • Keep track of employees trained and dates of training sessions.
  • Book accommodations as needed for employees attending training sessions.
  • Partner with community organizations to provide external training sessions to departments.
  • Evaluate training via assessment, surveys, and feedback.
  • Work with LCA Liaisons to ensure compliance with LCA guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Develop resources, such as How-Tos, multilingual resources, and outreach guides, for City employees to utilize and refer to.
  • Work with the Training & Development Manager to ensure training milestones and goals are met.
  • Prepare, implement, and adhere to the approved training budget.
  • Onboard & provide one-on-one support to departments’ LCA liaisons or teams as needed.
  • Responsible for assisting the Training and Development Manager with the “Welcoming City” project and similar projects, which may involve communicating with staff in different departments and assisting them with making their spaces more accessible to the public.
  • Perform related tasks and duties as assigned.
