Responsibilities

  • **Wells Engineer**
  • Real-time monitoring of active drill wells and/or well work operations; including cost/time performance, drilling mechanics performance, drilling fluid properties, directional profile progress, torque/drag, and broader technical problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Modelling to better understand well performance and drilling mechanics
  • Interface cross-functionally (Geology, Reservoir, Facilities, Production) to develop the most economic options for new well designs and/or performing remedial/diagnostic well work
  • Evaluating drilling technologies and various industry drilling practices
  • Implement effective solutions to health, safety, and environmental issues
  • Participate in well hazard and operability studies, including risk analyses
  • Spend time at drilling facilities offshore to support active drill wells and/or well work operations
  • **Reservoir Engineer**
  • Provide reservoir engineering support and guidance for the Hibernia and Hebron reservoir areas as well as assessing the development of future reservoir area
  • Reservoir simulation (including model builds and history matching) and volumes forecasting
  • Support Well performance reviews and Reserves assessments
  • Input to annual Asset Level Business Plan submissions and Technical Shareholder Committee meetings
  • Depletion planning and development scenario evaluation
  • Interface cross-functionally (Geology, Drilling, Facilities, Production) including leveraging the full strength of the ExxonMobil organization to ensure proper upstream alignment and sharing of new technologies
  • **Facilities Engineer**
  • Support operations through real-time facilities surveillance and optimization
  • Perform long-term facilities/process optimization analysis and monitoring of key variables driving profitability
  • Interact with operations, maintenance and other engineers to collaboratively address technical and business priorities
  • Computer modeling of oil, gas, and water piping networks and facilities
  • Facilitate scoping, cost estimating, scheduling and execution of facilities projects
  • Implement effective solutions to health, safety, and environmental opportunities using fundamental process safety concepts and risk management principles
  • Identify reliability and integrity threats and improvement opportunities, articulate technical/business challenges, and provide technical solutions

  • Participate in hazard and operability studies and other risk analyses
  • **Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Engineer**
  • Provide engineering support to the management of the Electrical and Critical Instrumentation, Controls and Alarms integrity programs, including technical evaluation, troubleshooting, and issue response support
  • Assume a supporting role in the stewardship of reliability issues, integrity issues, and program improvements, driving continuous improvement in key instrumentation and power systems reliability
  • Support the management of critical equipment obsolescence, hazardous area inspections, electrical safety, alarm management and critical device function testing programs for the Business Unit
  • Facilitate the advancement of improvement opportunities from idea generation through to implementation, including technical and business evaluation, design, funding, Management of Change, and execution planning
  • Participate in the global Instrumentation and Controls, Alarm Management and/or Electrical Communities of Practice, including identifying and sharing of technical learnings
  • Support business plan development, work planning and coordination, budgeting, prioritization, and stewardship
  • Maintain relationships with Instrumentation, Control and Electrical equipment suppliers and service providers
  • Actively participate in risk assessments and incident investigations (e.g. PHA, HAZOP, RCA)
  • **Subsea Engineer**
  • Provide engineering support to the management of the Subsea and Pipelines integrity programs, including technical evaluation, troubleshooting, and issue response support
  • Champion subsea and pipelines systems inspection, surveillance, and integrity assessment programs, including direction and utilization of service providers, to ensure asset safety, regulatory compliance and cost efficiency
  • Interact with Asset Team Operations, Maintenance, Logistics / Marine, and other Engineering staff, in addition to various external service providers, to collaboratively address key technical and business priorities
  • Coordinate and provide project management oversight of key integrity program activities, including remotely operated vehicle (ROV) campaigns, marine project execution, pipeline inspection programs, etc.
  • Facilitate the advancement of improvement opportunities from idea generation through to implementation, including technical and business evaluation, design, funding, Management of Change, and execution planning
  • Participate in the Pipelines and Subsea Integrity Communities of Practice (CoP), including identifying and sharing of technical learnings within the CoPs and across the Business Unit
  • Maintain working relationships with Subsea and Pipelines equipment suppliers and service providers
  • Actively participate in risk assessments and incident investigations (e.g. PHA, HAZOP, RCA)
