Requirements

  • Strategic and visible member of the global HR executive team. Provides leadership, solutions and results that fully enable Applied Materials to meet our strategic priorities and operational targets, while driving global HR strategies, priorities, and HR policy.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will drive the development and execution of the Global Rewards strategy globally.
  • The role will be accountable for conceptualizing a vision for global total rewards and enterprise performance measurement to ensure pay for performance that align to the long-term Total Rewards strategy globally.
  • Partner with the CEO and the CHRO to ensure the overall global total rewards strategies and programs are designed and created in a way to deliver our long-term business strategy, are in line with our compensation philosophy, are supported by our shareowners and comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Partnering with the CEO, Compensation Committee and the CHRO, advises Board of Directors, CEO, executive team, and HR leadership team on all rewards programs including compensation and benefits per corporate governance requirements.
  • Works with the Board, CEO, CFO, CHRO to determine which key financial performance metrics best align to the long-term business strategy for the enterprise and named officers, and the integration with total rewards strategies.
  • Lead our Executive and Enterprise Pay for Performance Philosophy and model to drive business strategy and attract and retain global talent.
  • Set the strategic direction for the design and delivery of our health and wellness programs to optimize the efficient use of budget and foster a healthy work environment.
  • Set the strategic direction for the design and delivery of our 401k/retirement plans.
  • Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business requirements (financial, talent, innovation, etc.) of mergers/acquisitions/joint ventures and determine how best to set performance metrics with aligned total rewards to deliver those requirements.
