Responsibilities

  • Design and develop computations for hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater systems, riverine systems and BMPs.
  • Field surveys and reconnaissance statewide (NC) to document existing conditions as it relates to stormwater and riverine systems and to aid in design.
  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling of transportation crossings of small and large riverine systems while complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools. Both transportation and land development projects.
  • Develop construction cost estimates.
  • Assist with the preparation of design engineering plans and specifications for approval by municipalities, state government and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality.
  • Utilize applications (Open Roads Designer, HecRas, HecHMS, TR-55 etc.) as required by our water resources assignments.
