This director of information, intelligence and insights role provides the opportunity to be part of a change to the way we deliver health and care services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly; we need a greater focus on prevention, reducing health inequalities by providing equitable access, outcomes and experience, joining up pathways for the benefit of the users and ensuring care is delivered by the right person, in the right place at the right time. Population health management is key to this approach; we need to ensure we have the correct data sets, use all the data we have available well and adopt a data driven approach to planning and delivery of health and care. Each integrated care system (ICS) in England is required to develop a cross-system intelligence function (IF). These are intended to be system-wide and multi-disciplinary collaborations of intelligence professionals (including data engineers, data analysts, data scientists and qualitative researchers), with representation from analytical leaders and key teams. Intelligence functions will support a breadth of strategic, clinical and operational decisions at ICS level.
