Requirements

  • Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Students who wish to participate in the High School Internship Program must meet all the following requirements:
  • Be a senior in high school at the time of internship.
  • Be at least 16 years of age at the time of internship.
  • Have and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Attend a high school located in New Mexico.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.

  • The cover letter should describe key aspects of the applicant's background and include two or three academic and career areas of interest.

  • The Spring 2025 High School Internship Program provides qualified New Mexico high school seniors the opportunity to develop skills and gain work experience, while receiving exposure to a variety of technical and professional career fields.
  • Students who participate in this program have the opportunity to begin interning during the spring semester of their senior year.
