What is the duration of the Summer Internship program?
The Summer Internship program runs from 1st July through 29th August 2025.
Is the internship paid?
Yes, the Summer Landscape Internship at Gensler is a full-time, paid opportunity.
What are the necessary qualifications to apply for this internship?
Candidates must currently be enrolled in a Landscape Design Degree program and possess various skills in software such as Revit or Rhino, AutoCAD, and 3D rendering tools.
When is the application deadline?
Applications will close on the 15th of April 2025.
Can I submit my application in a format other than PDF?
No, submissions made in Microsoft Word or without work samples will not be considered.
What should I include in my portfolio submission?
Your online application should include a CV and a portfolio in PDF form, containing a resume, cover letter, and work samples.
Will I be working alone or as part of a team during the internship?
Interns will work as fully collaborative members of a design team, participating in design charrettes and collaborating with other designers, architects, and managers.
Are there any opportunities for mentorship during the internship?
Yes, the internship includes educational sessions and mentorship opportunities, such as lunch-and-learns, lectures, project tours, and vendor presentations.
What kind of projects will I be working on during the internship?
Interns will work on Landscape & Masterplan projects and participate in design charrettes to help define strategic goals for clients across various industries and locations.
Is experience with hand rendering techniques necessary for the role?
While hand sketching and physical modeling ability is considered a bonus, it is not strictly required.
