Responsibilities

  • Determine and interpret applicable Substance Compliance Regulatory Standards for Oracle Hardware products
  • Partner and communicate with internal team on the technologies that may be impacted by regulated materials & substances
  • Advise on materials utilized in Computer Industry technologies & Design for Environment Technologies – aka “don’t use this” “do use that”
  • Define test techniques, methodologies, and practices for detecting materials and measuring concentrations
  • Define material analysis test plans and interpret resulting data
  • Research Global Design for Environment and or Substance Compliance Regulations while monitoring and tracking changes to global product compliance regulations relevant to Oracle strategic markets
  • Recommend changes to existing work-flows to enhance ongoing compliance processes and or change to comply with new regulations
  • Work with Supply Chains and Suppliers to assess and report on Substance Compliance Risk
  • Advocate for effective Global Regulatory Policy
  • Provide risk assessments based on regulations and Oracle’s methodologies to ensure appropriate level of visibility
  • Requires excellent communication, documentation, information organization, task management and prioritization skills
  • Must be proficient in data automation, data management, and data input into Environmental database management systems or similar tools for Substance Regulation tracking
