What is the main responsibility of the AutoCAD Designer at Symbotic?
The main responsibility of the AutoCAD Designer is to provide guidance and leadership in the creation of complex steel structures as part of large-scale automation systems within customer Distribution Centers, as well as creating large steel structure drawings and assembly layouts.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the building and/or machinery industries, at least 2 years' experience using AutoCAD, and prior experience designing projects involving structural steel.
Is AutoCAD certification beneficial for this role?
Yes, having AutoCAD specific certification(s) is considered a plus for this position.
Do we require experience in Material Handling and Automation Systems?
While not mandatory, experience in Material Handling and/or Automation Systems is considered a plus for applicants.
What software skills are necessary for this position?
A solid working knowledge of AutoCAD tools and techniques, including Layers, External References, Dynamic Blocks, and File Management, is necessary for this role.
What type of drawings will the AutoCAD Designer be expected to create?
The AutoCAD Designer will be expected to create and manage a set of comprehensive Facility and System level drawings, which include plan, elevation, and detail views.
