Responsibilities

  • Design 3D components and subsystems for mobile robots such as drivetrain, power, vision, and case handling.
  • Provide technical support to the production of projects for which he is responsible.
  • Support issue resolution of fielded robots by identifying root causes and engineering solutions. Assist project managers or other designers as required.
  • Visit customers to retrieve data.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for equipment or special components.
  • Search for products and components, contact suppliers.
  • Assist in the commissioning of equipment and participate in fabrication & assembly tasks.
  • Participate in the elaboration of maintenance & operations manuals.
  • With little supervision, elaborates, defines and plans work from relatively clear objectives.
  • Guides colleagues in their designing of parts, mechanisms, weldments, and industrial structures.
  • Elaborates and documents test procedures for prototype validation.
  • Helps supervise the work of others and ensure the respect of department standards.
  • Plays a key role in improvement initiatives with guidance from experts.
  • Validate critical mechanical components.
