Responsibilities

  • Taking care of the development, implementation and continuous improvement of plastic molds and metal press processes.
  • Providing the equipment technical specification to share with SCM for RFQ activity; conduct comparison of technical offers and guarantee adherence to the technical requirements. Monitor external development progress and set the plan and criteria for equipment validation, installation and startup.
  • Cooperating with R&D department during project execution phase to ensure and optimize the manufacturability of new product, supporting the cross-functional team, joining the weekly update meeting and providing all the deliverables in charge of engineering department.
  • Defining the specifications of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget and evaluate operative deviation vs targets.
  • Supporting the evaluation of new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities and approval criteria.
  • Identifying and recommend improvement opportunities and implement improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality and cost requirements.
  • Providing support to Production during external process start-up and evaluate with the supplier a maintenance action plan.
