Responsibilities

  • Directly and through subordinates, identifies, designs and assesses training tools, resources, programs and policies that support the business needs and strategic plan while being responsive to business line training needs. Regularly interfaces with line management and participates in project task forces to identify training needs and ensure the effective implementation, communication, administration and assessment of training programs. Analyzes training needs and requirements; investigates available training options to determine the most cost-effective alternatives. Ensures that training staff have the tools necessary to effectively deliver and administer programs; pilots designed courses; ensures the delivery of high-quality training and development programs. Analyzes, recommends, negotiates and maintains training vendor contracts and relationships. Develops and maintains a resource training and development library; ensuring that catalogs of core curriculum and training resources are disseminated to appropriate areas of the corporation. Oversees the training administrative process and identifies opportunities for automation to improve efficiencies. Plans, develops, establishes and controls assigned organization and budget functions, as well as human resources functions.
