Responsibilities

  • The Retail Director Northern Europe will have responsibility for 13 stores across Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Czech Republic. In accordance with the Company’s global and regional vision and strategy, they will have full P&L responsibility and be charged with driving the Company’s strategy to manage and grow the business in the market.
  • They will be responsible for overseeing and further developing Tiffany & Co.’s brand presence in this market. They will directly manage the retail teams ensuring sales objectives, profitability goals, high operational and merchandising standards are met. They will also be accountable for building highly motivated teams by developing Managers to enable them to progress in their careers within Tiffany & Co. and LVMH.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Client Development
  • Create annual budgets and develop strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Lead and develop the retail team to achieve business objectives.
  • Closely monitor and analyze sales performance in all stores. Ensure that all employees are assigned sales and productivity goals and that they receive training and coaching to reach these goals.
  • Ensure that Store Managers proactively manage the clientelling process.
  • Partner closely with the Merchandising teams to ensure that all stores have the correct product assortment and product availability to achieve sales goals.
  • Develop public relation events and client events in cooperation with the PR & Communications and Client Relations departments to strengthen relations with existing client groups and reach out for new ones.
  • Team Development and Leadership
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels across all market, partnering with Human Resources to identify, attract and retain the best available talent, both internally and externally.
  • Identify talent and prepare and implement development plans and succession plans with a view to supporting the growth of the business operations and providing a pool of qualified, motivated and mobile employees.
  • Responsible for ensuring optimal/ excellent performance across all roles, working with Managers and Human Resources on how to best manage top and poor performers.
  • Manage the annual review process for the market and conduct reviews for all direct reports.
  • Ensure that retail training initiatives are effectively implemented in the market.
  • Provide leadership and share the company vision to motivate and retain staff.
  • Retail Operations & Performance Management
  • Responsible for providing input for the market budget, developing strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Full responsibility for P&L for the region.
  • Work with regional and market security to safeguard the physical security of company assets, customers, and employees.
  • Ensure teams achieve stock loss results.
  • Ensure internal control procedures are implemented and closely monitored.
  • Streamline retail operations processes and procedures to ensure that they are efficient and effective.
  • Lead the store opening process for new stores.
