  • Knowledgeable about billing practices and process management concepts - this may include knowledge of Test pricing and CPT coding or reimbursement processes, 3rd party provider enrollments, claims submissions, EDI and HIPAA transactions and/or accounts receivables
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Responsibilities

  • Process review, data analysis and measurement
  • Preparation of reports as needed by management
  • Identification and communication of billing issues to management
  • Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., brokers, account managers) and/or external customers/payers to resolve customer issues
  • Prepares and coordinates presentations, trainings, etc; used as an educational resource
  • Analyze relevant information to determine potential reasons for billing discrepancies
  • Reconcile discrepancies identified within customer invoices/billing and reports
  • May involve some interfacing with clients, managed care customers, IT resources and others when needed
  • May involve implementation of new technologies and processes (includes testing and follow up)
  • Schedule and ad hoc auditing of various systems and databases
  • Assignment of special projects as needed
