Hull York Medical School (HYMS) is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join their well-established Clinical Skills Educators team. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, delivering clinical skills teaching and assessing medical students under the guidance of the Lead Clinical Skills Educator. This post is based in the Learning and Research Centre at York Hospital, where much of the teaching and assessment takes place. However, there will also be opportunities to work with the HYMS clinical skills team at Scarborough Hospital, offering a variety of settings for the successful candidate to contribute to the education and development of future medical professionals. Candidates should have at least four years of post-registration experience in an acute clinical setting, along with a recognised teaching qualification. Proficiency in basic clinical procedures, including venepuncture, peripheral venous cannulation, and urethral catheterisation, is essential. A strong interest in teaching clinical skills and clinical simulation training is also imperative. While proven experience in teaching clinical skills is preferable, the role is open to those who have a passion for education and professional development in this area. Hull York Medical School (HYMS) is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join their well-established Clinical Skills Educators team.The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, delivering clinical skills teaching and assessing medical students under the guidance of the Lead Clinical Skills Educator.This post is based in the Learning and Research Centre at York Hospital, where much of the teaching and assessment takes place. However, there will also be opportunities to work with the HYMS clinical skills team at Scarborough Hospital, offering a variety of settings for the successful candidate to contribute to the education and development of future medical professionals.Candidates should have at least four years of post-registration experience in an acute clinical setting, along with a recognised teaching qualification. Proficiency in basic clinical procedures, including venepuncture, peripheral venous cannulation, and urethral catheterisation, is essential.
