Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Leads, manages, and develops the German Kite Medical Affairs Team, which includes the headquarters team, and an MS Lead, who manages a team of field based Medical Scientists (MS)
  • Leads and coordinates the Medical Affairs strategy and tactics for Cell Therapy products in Germany, in alignment to the Kite ACE and Global Medical Affairs company's core strategy
  • Develops and oversees the German medical strategy, including innovative tactics, real world data generation, study concepts and proposals, and ensure that clinical data are available to support value proposition and development of treatment guidelines when appropriate
  • Manages budget HC & Opex for the Kite Germany medical team
  • Works collaboratively with Kite-Gilead personnel in Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical Research, Global Safety, Public Affairs and Governmental Affairs in Germany, but also at regional or global levels when appropriate
  • Works collaboratively with the Gilead Germany Medical Affairs Director and team, to ensure the right collaboration between Kite and Gilead in Germany, and to properly evaluate performance of the Kite Medical Affairs teams
  • Presents scientific and clinical data for Kite products, commercially available or in development, when required, utilizes approved scientific resources to deliver impactful and tailored presentations in a variety of different settings
  • Identifies and develops regional and national opinion leaders to support Kite products and trains Kite approved speakers through personal contacts and on-site visits
  • Develops team capabilities to support long-term relationships with scientific customers
  • Establishes strong relationships with opinion leaders, clinical investigators and providers at academic and non-academic centers and drives customer-driven solutions
  • Collaborates with Kite-Gilead Clin Dev and Clin Ops personnel and investigators to assist and facilitate the execution of clinical trials in Germany
  • Anticipates obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolves them in a collaborative manner
  • Travels to appointments, meetings, and conferences on a frequent and regular basis, occasionally with short notice
  • Drives a culture of high performance, collaboration, continuous improvement and accountability
