Responsibilities

  • Act as one of the leading forces for our German market, develop and champion the strategy with the operations management team, and mobilise resources to execute the strategy.
  • Identify and deliver growth initiatives such as geographic expansion, restaurant delivery area optimisation and service time extensions.
  • Be accountable for the quality of delivery service and associated KPI’s that impact couriers, customers, restaurants.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to build strategies and inform decision making
  • Ensure the delivery service is operated compliantly and with a high regard for the safety of all stakeholders involved
  • Lead operational efforts with potential 3rd party logistics providers
  • Identify, assess and prepare for potential changes in the regulatory environment impacting the business
  • Partner with the Logistics Country Director to establish the team's strategic objectives and to contribute to the thought leadership within the global organisation
  • Develop strategic direction and objectives by working closely with cross-functional team members. Obtain their expert advice, thoroughly challenge the prevailing thought, and influence key decision-makers in the organisation
  • Collaborate with the finance team to jointly manage the profit and loss (PL) outcomes, improve our unit economics, achieve profitability targets, and oversee forecasting and budget management with a focus on optimization.
  • Facilitate communication of product and process needs to HQ, working collaboratively with product and engineering teams to address them effectively.
  • Work with Central Operations and other countries’ Heads of Operations to develop and share best practices
  • Support on local regulatory concerns and local politics in partnership with our Policy, Legal, and Communications teams
  • Lead, manage and develop a highly engaged and talented team of direct and indirect reports
