Responsibilities

  • Interface with students as they seek guidance concerning employment, career development, internships, graduate school, and career related issues.
  • Analyze student’s career paths, initiate career assessments, provide advice on resume development, interview preparation, and offer internship and job search resources.
  • Develop and conduct workshops and seminars on a variety of topics, assess and report data on effectiveness and implement changes needed to engage and enhance student preparedness for the workplace, including UCAR and UCRS 2100 career courses.
  • Manage and lead a Career Ambassador peer mentor program, along with a Graduate Assistant oversight, to support all College career education work, including hiring, training, mentoring, and scheduling responsibilities. Role includes engaging other staff to support training.
  • Work cooperatively with faculty, the Career Center Employer Development and Outreach Team to utilize more companies and alumni from a broad range of industries to engage with students on campus, and other staff with event, programming, and mentor management.
