Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a womenswear designer with an international fashion brand ideally at TWC level of the market (entry luxury)

Responsibilities

  • Gather trends and inspiration for product ranges and create design product spec packs for wovens.
  • Constantly developing the range working closely with the buying and technical teams and suppliers to translate your designs into commercially viable product advising on construction, details, or artworks. Ensure the range evolves and continues to meet the demands of TWC customer.
  • Work alongside the Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure your ideas are communicated.
  • Ensure all designs are executed and meet your departments’ critical path dates.
  • Working alongside the Design manager to produce a co-ordinated clothing collection with the ability to ensure your designs can be used as part of the key outfits and key looks.
  • Sourcing from the supply base and building relationships with suppliers.
  • Travelling and researching directional and comparative trend and product direction.
  • Reacting to sales information and designing commercially relevant ranges.
  • Identifying & sourcing new yarns or components for new sample development to drive new product and range development for the customer.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the market, supplier base, competition, and customer requirements across your departments in particular.
